Flock finishes also resist scuffing better than smooth synthetic leather, so they tend to hold their look through daily wear.
An EVA outsole keeps the overall shoe light without sacrificing cushioning underfoot, and the mesh lining adds another layer of airflow against the foot, reducing the heat build-up that a fully lined synthetic shoe can cause over a full day. Together these make the shoe noticeably lighter in hand than it looks, which matters if you’re walking rather than just standing in them.
